There’s a good deal of money to be won this week DraftKings including a top prize of $25k in the main tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier competitions available this week, in which the final event will pay $50k into 1st if you did qualify to perform inside. I will be pursuing those as well because we have not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I need it. We didn’t have one struggle fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a great card to build your bankroll to get the first Sunday of NFL so you can chase that $1M.
Cash Game play of this week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit will be super chalky in championship. Everyone who’d Shevchenko in their lineup will switch to Zabit and he will likely be the most owned fighter around the slate. In cash games we do not care about ownership as much and I will be starting my cash team with Zabit. I believe he’s the simplest win on the card and he has the highest ceiling too. I believe if you want to find sneaky and not use Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do this. Lock him and choose the easy triumph. Then you just have to find about 3 additional wins and you should have a winning money team.
GPP drama of the week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is close to the finish of his career and I am thinking this is going to be the last time we see him at the UFC. I believe he is going to be given his 5th loss in a row and I am guessing it is going to be via knockout. I think Alex White will be too strong and fast for Jim Miller at this phase in his career and I believe he is going to be able to keep this battle on the toes. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and a few other mid-range favorites might be a good way to go to create your lineups more contrarian and try to find 1st place in a GPP that way. I really do like White a fantastic bit in this fight and I think he has 100+ point potential at a $8.6k salary. He is my GPP play of the week.
Underdog play of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog drama of the week because I don’t think Craig White isn’t any good. Sanchez may be entirely taken, and if this is the situation he can get KO’d early. However, I don’t think Craig White should be over -200 contrary to some other UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it allows you to find some of those higher favorites you like on your lineup, and I think he can get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, but it is not a confident pick and I believe he makes for a better GPP play than cash punt.
Fade of this week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I am looking forward to seeing this battle and I’ll be picking Aljo for the win . My issue is that I do not believe he is very likely to score highly, and perhaps not even 10x his salary. I think a whole lot of this struggle will take place on the toes and Aljo doesn’t throw at a high enough speed to score well in a striking match. He will have to get this fight to the ground several times and rack up some progress points for him to score tremendously. I simply don’t see this occurring. I believe this is going to be a very close fight and I would rather just cover any of the fighters above Sterling. I think we’d be looking at a score around 70-75 DK points using an Aljo choice win here.
