NASCAR at Richmond odds, key stats, bets to consider: Handicap Toyota Owners 400 with similar race tracks

Following an exciting race in Tennessee, NASCAR heads to Richmond Raceway Saturday night (6 rebounds CT, FOX) for the next short-track race that the Cup Series season.

Richmond, the site of the Toyota Owners 400, is 0.25 miles more than Bristol and Martinsville, but NASCAR still categorizes it as a short track. It’s really similar to New Hampshire and Phoenix’s track in banking and it’s no surprise drivers who’ve had success at those tracks.

Kyle Busch, who won Sunday’s race in Bristol as the race-favorite, once again has the shortest odds (2/1) on the plank at the Westgate SuperBook because he seeks his seventh win at Richmond. Busch has finished in the top 10 in each race this year and owns a series-best 6.9 average finish at the Richmond. Busch won and directed a 177 laps and has finished first and second in the previous two races at New Hampshire.

Richmond rules bundle results

Teams will utilize the 2019 rules package tailored for quick tracks (less than 1.33 miles) and street classes. A 1.17-inch tapered spacer will be used as it was earlier this year at Phoenix, Martinsville, and Bristol, with engines expected to generate roughly 750 horsepower. When handicapping the 400-lap race of Saturday, results from Phoenix should be bettors’ priority before exploring last year’s outcomes from New Hampshire and Richmond, since packages were utilized.

Pole-sitter Ryan Blaney (94) and Aric Almirola (26) also led laps at Phoenix in March, as did Denny Hamlin (7), Jimmie Johnson (4), and Daniel Hemric (4 ) ). Busch won Stage 1 and Blaney won Stage 2, and the duo was joined by Martin Truex Jr. (moment ), Almirola (third), and Hamlin (fifth) at the top five in the checkered flag.
