This week, we’ve got a Fight Pass card at Singapore. Because it’s in Singapore, we must wake up at 4:30am ET to watch it live. I’ve set the alarm and I will be up ready to sweat these early fights. DraftKings does not have many large tournaments this week so I will be playing more money games and less GPPs. I will still have 3 GPP lineups but a lot of my investment this week will probably be in money games. But, There’s still money to be won so here are a Couple of plays I like and my fade of the week:
Money Game play of this week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald”Cowboy” Cerrone is not in a dull fight. Whether he wins or loses, his struggles usually score as a whole and also the winner almost always pays off their cost in DraftKings. I typically search for 100 total points should I pile up a struggle in money and that I think with this being a probable 5-rounds, it should score well more than that. Should Edwards win this fight, it is likely an early KO, and if this happens he’ll score quite high. If Cerrone wins, then he could lock up a entry or a knockout which will readily 10x his price tag of $7.6k. But in any event, you’ve got the winner at your lineup along with the guaranteed 30-90 win bonus points should you stack. I think this battle will be fun so long as it lasts and there ought to be a good amount of points added up until one of these two get completed. When it does go 5 rounds, these two should still get over 100 total points with the speed Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP play of this week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang constantly puts on a series when he steps in the Octagon. He’s a quick pace fighter who scores very well on DraftKings when he wins. I believe he must be the better fighter wherever this fight ends up against Abe. In addition, I think he can finish this battle on the feet or the ground and if that happens he would probably pay off his high cost of $9.2k. He is the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and that I think he has the highest ceiling. That is what we want in GPPs is a ceiling, so that is the reason why Jingliang is my GPP drama of the week.
Underdog play of the week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favorite DraftKings”underdog” this week. His betting line has shifted to him being a slight favorite at -120 however he’s $400 cheaper than his opponent. I think saving that $400 is a fantastic transfer in money or GPP games therefore I enjoy Yadong in all formats. I believe Yadong will look to maintain this battle on the toes and search for this KO win. If he does get the win, then ” I believe he should readily pay off that price tag and receive at least 10x.
Fade of this week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My primary difficulty with Pereira is that she’s too expensive. At $8.8k, I want at least 88 points from her and I think she desires get a finish to perform that. I really don’t see that happening and neither does Vegas using a +617 ITD line. She doesn’t strike a high enough speed or land sufficient takedowns to evaluate 88 points in my personal opinion. In her two UFC wins she held her opponent against the fence for a fantastic section of the fight and no points are being scored when that occurs. If she does that again here, there is no way she comes near 88 points even with a win. I have a complete fade on Pereira this week and that I will compensate for other favorites instead.
