A judge says he needs more evidence before deciding if Cagliari should be penalized for racist chants aimed on Sunday at the Romelu Lukaku of Inter Milan.
The on-loan Manchester United striker was exposed to monkey chants in the audience through Inter Serie A victory.
In his weekly reports, Serie A’s disciplinary judge Gerardo Mastrandrea did not use the phrase”racist” and referred only to”chants that were the subject of news articles and TV reports”.
Cagliari have vowed to identify and ban the”ignorant” individuals accountable for”shameful activities”.

Following the game on Sunday, Lukaku shared his perspectives on social networking, stating soccer was”going backwards” to the issue of racism.

The Italian team did not sanction Cagliari for incident, nor did they perform if the fans of precisely the team abused Sulley Muntari in 2017.
